High Tea in the Mural Room

President of Council, Mrs Anne Cronin OAM and Head of College, Dr Jennifer McDonald welcomed alumni from University Women's College from 1937 to 1974 to High Tea in the new Mural Room on Wednesday 16 August.

35 ladies and several partners shared memories of days gone by and a differing landscape of times prior to the College becoming co-educational. Member of the College Council and the College Fundraising Committee, Jane Peck (UWC 1969-70) spoke of her time at College and shared some memories generating further discussion.

"I always felt very fortunate that my mother encouraged me to go to College and to pursue the opportunities offered through the scholarship program. Scholarships at the College continue to be a fundamental aspect of accessibility to the College experience today." Jane Peck (UWC 1969-70)

University College alumni have gone on to achieve incredible things in their lives and continue to contribute enormously to society. With over 5,658 alumni living in 45 countries around the world, the College alumni community is indeed a global community.
