Melbourne is famous for its sports scene. With the southern hemisphere's biggest stadium, the MCG hosts sports events nonstop. During much of the AFL's home and away season, lots of students make the most of the affordable $18 concession tickets and head over to catch some footy action.
For individuals who have an appreciation for art, Melbourne offers numerous locations to explore (without any cost), such as the NGV and the Melbourne CBD Street Art Lanes. These two destinations encompass divergent artistic viewpoints.
